Tony & Karen Gray
Pioneer Missions Global missionaries Tony and Karen Gray serve as Strategy Coordinators for Brazil.
Their ministry includes the training of nationals in evangelism and church planting strategies, the implementation of church planting projects with national Baptist entities, and the planning and coordination of volunteer projects throughout the country.
Tony and Karen Gray married on August 16, 1975. Both graduated from William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS in May 1978.
- Tony received a Bachelor's degree in Church Music
- Karen received one in Elementary Education
- Tony earned a Master's degree in Sacred Music at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in December 1980
- Tony also studied at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1984
Tony was minister of music and youth at Barton Baptist Church in Lucedale, MS from 1975-78. He was minister of youth and assistant to the minister of music at the First Baptist Church of Long Beach, MS in 1983-84.
Karen taught school at the DePaul School in Louisville, KY from 1978-81.
Both were journeymen with the International Mission Board in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1981-83.
Tony and Karen were career missionaries in Brazil for 22 years with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. They joined Pioneer Missions in April 2005.
Tony and Karen are the proud parents of Hannah and Katie and grandparents of Grayson, Andy-Grayce, Jacob and Samuel.
